FARGO — A West Fargo man was sentenced to five years in prison Monday, Nov. 2, after pleading guilty to a felony terrorizing charge stemming from a bomb threat he called in nearly a year ago to a daycare in Kindred. Cody Weathermon initially faced two felony charges, but Cass County District Court Judge Stephannie Stiel allowed one charge to be dismissed as part of a plea deal. According to court documents, Weathermon's ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend reported a history of threatening phone calls and reports of self-harm before the bomb threat. Weathermon's ex-girlfriend worked at the daycare. A mother of children who attend the daycare spoke in court Monday, saying Weathermon's actions remain a mental scar on their family. "I, as their mom, should not be reading on news reports that my kids' lives were threatened," Alexis Remmick said. Weathermon was arrested in May after he allegedly called in a bomb threat to a daycare in Kindred in December 2025.
